Ascent
A peer community for women.
A programme for women — particularly from immigrant and marginalised backgrounds — working toward employment, education or a career transition. Peer co-working, group mentoring, and career-building workshops.

Why this existsThe path forward should not have to be walked alone.
Many women are not stuck because they lack motivation, skills or experience — they're stuck because the path forward is unclear, networks are hard to access, and repeated rejection quietly wears down confidence. Ascent creates a structured community where women work on their next steps together, learn from people who understand the Norwegian work and education landscape, and build confidence through action, not just information.
What makes it different
- Cohort-based — the same group moves through together, building lasting relationships.
- Doing, not just listening — you leave with something done.
- Mentors who guide rather than present.
- Women-centred by design.
Three strands, one community.
Peer Co-Work Hub
A facilitated space to work on your own goals alongside the group: CVs, applications, LinkedIn, interview prep, education research. Each session ends with a concrete next step.
Group Mentoring
Sessions with mentors bringing experience from working life, recruitment, education and career transitions in Norway.
Career-Building Workshops
Practical sessions strengthening confidence, digital skills, and understanding of Norwegian working life.
Women looking for work without traction, returning after a break, arriving with qualifications from outside Norway, considering further education, or feeling isolated in the process and wanting structure and peers who understand the same terrain.
