Bouklub for Youth: Read & Reflect | Persepolis

How do identity, family and political change shape the way we see the world and our place in it?

At this Bouklub Read & Reflect session, we’ll explore selected excerpts from Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi. Together, we’ll reflect on themes of belonging, freedom, growing up and finding your voice through a powerful graphic memoir set against the backdrop of the Iranian Revolution.

This is a space for young people to meet each other, share food and refreshments, and exchange ideas, experiences and questions. You’re welcome whether you have read the book beforehand or would like to discover it together at the session. Reading material will be provided.

Bouklub is a free reading and creative-expression club for young people aged 13–25 in Oslo.

Free to attend, but registration is required.
